PEACE, the music atlas project by Buffetlibre & Amnesty International from Marc Constanti on Vimeo.

Malajube, amongst many other artists from over 50 countries, join the new project by Barcelona djs Buffetlibre, the PEACE compilation. Available on the official site of the project, PEACE’s benefits will go to Amnesty International’s humanitarian aid projects in areas of conflict.

Canadian Music Fest and Galaxie have announced the nominees for the 10th Annual Independent Music Awards today and Malajube is nominated for Favourite Francophone Group! Congratulations!!   

The awards will be presented on Saturday, March 13th in Toronto starting at 8 p.m. Performers will include Desperate Union, The Rural Alberta Advantage, Plants and Animals, Great Lake Swimmers and Constantines and will be broadcast on XM Satellite Radio’s the Verge and will be recorded for a future broadcast on Galaxie.

Malajube will launch the activities for the Montreal highlight festival by playing a free outdoor show February 18th at 8:15PM on the BMO stage at the Jacques-Cartier peer in Old Port!

Such a good excuse to smell the Saint-Laurence river, eat queue de castor and take a reallllllllly long subway ride!

Malajube will help Moisson Montreal get more donations for their Christmas basket. Having received ten times less donations compared to last year, Malajube is asking the people who will come to the show this Friday (December 18th) at the Métropolis to bring non perishable food to help Moisson Montreal complete the basket for those in need during the holiday seasons.

As of right now, you can order Malajube’s brand new EP Contrôle. You will find four unreleased tracks from the recording sessions of Labyrinthes. If I were you, I would hurry up because there is only 300 copies of the screen-printed and numbered vinyl in the entire world! The digital version will be available forever and ever only on music.malajube.com.

Please note that when you buy the record, you will be able to download the tracks right away, but the vinyl will only be shipped to you on Wednesday December 16th.

The vinyls (including a digital download) will also be available at the next Malajube shows, including the Montreal date on December 18th at the Métropolis.

Malajube and The Great Canadian Song Quest on CBC Radio 2! 

Voting is now open and Malajube is one of the five songwriters representing our province! 

The quest is your chance to immortalize Canadians’ favourite places in song and to choose the artists you’d like to see create the song for those locations.

Once voting closes on October 23rd at midnight, the final 13 artists will have four weeks to compose and record an original song inspired by the most popular Canadian location from their province!
