Canadian Music Fest and Galaxie have announced the nominees for the 10th Annual Independent Music Awards today and Malajube is nominated for Favourite Francophone Group! Congratulations!!
The awards will be presented on Saturday, March 13th in Toronto starting at 8 p.m. Performers will include Desperate Union, The Rural Alberta Advantage, Plants and Animals, Great Lake Swimmers and Constantines and will be broadcast on XM Satellite Radio’s the Verge and will be recorded for a future broadcast on Galaxie.

Malajube will help Moisson Montreal get more donations for their Christmas basket. Having received ten times less donations compared to last year, Malajube is asking the people who will come to the show this Friday (December 18th) at the Métropolis to bring non perishable food to help Moisson Montreal complete the basket for those in need during the holiday seasons.

If I were you, I would hurry up because there is only 300 copies of the screen-printed and numbered vinyl in the entire world! Please note that when you buy the record, you will be able to download the tracks right away, but the vinyl will only be shipped to you on Wednesday December 16th.
The vinyls (including a digital download) will also be available at the next Malajube shows, including the Montreal date on December 18th at the Métropolis.

Malajube and The Great Canadian Song Quest on CBC Radio 2!
Voting is now open and Malajube is one of the five songwriters representing our province!
The quest is your chance to immortalize Canadians’ favourite places in song and to choose the artists you’d like to see create the song for those locations.
Once voting closes on October 23rd at midnight, the final 13 artists will have four weeks to compose and record an original song inspired by the most popular Canadian location from their province!

A vinyl version of Labyrinthes should be available around march 1st on Dare to care records. This special numbered gatefold edition is printed on a 180 gram dark vinyl and includes a downloadable mp3 version of the album, so that you can sing-along with your computer. Great.
